An elusive web presence and word of mouth descriptions are all I have for now, but the dedicated surfer can, if sufficiently interested, scramble through his site for such clues to the inner workings of his mind like Drool Donkey, and the album he recorded with “The Beables”. Legend has it that Mushroom John leads forays around Seattle and Cambodia for those brave enough to endure his almost constant babel. I’ve been told that the only exit from a conversation with Mushroom John requires no grace at all; you simply walk away. His website presents a similar trap. You can even order spore prints from him. Tempting. This is a real person on planet earth and I am so happy he exists.
