A Screaming Comes Across the Sky

All the weird stuff goes down in Russia:

Sergei Kazantsev, a local farmer, is one of the latest victims. He is suing Russia’s Federal Space Agency because he claims toxic fuel from rocket debris caused the death of four of his horses, the Moscow Times reported on Thursday.

It was the second complaint to emerge in as many weeks. Boris Urmatov, a shepherd in Altai, demanded $40,000 in compensation for emotional distress after an 11-foot long slab of rocket crashed close to his house. The space agency awarded $400 to an Altai resident several years ago after a similar incident.

  1. We should take bets on how many years it will take for the former Soviet bloc to stop being a parody of itself and start becoming an evil capitalist superpower like China. Seriously, with news items like this, it’s almost like they’re trying to make Sacha Baron Cohen’s job easier.

  2. Cliff Kuang says:

    Lulzzzz.

Or we should keep them just the way they are, just like Japan. Two countries which exist simply to baffle and inspire.
