Long ago, before ceiling cat, before LOLCATS there were “Namennayo cats”, which was the brainchild of Satoru Tsuda who began this hobby of dressing up cats in doll clothes in 1980. The craze spread from Kyoto and Japan’s insatiable appetite for weird is briefly abated. The fad died six months later, presumably because the internetz had not been invented yet. One wonders, does man need LULZ like he needs food, companionship and love?
