There’s a bank that’s been running commercials during local station breaks that shows bankers–stereotypical old white men–dreaming. Some of them dream, in thought bubbles above their heads, of dollar bills and gold coins. And then THIS guy pops up, dreaming of a Persian cat while he licks his lips. I think the commercial ends with some average-joe character stickin’ it to the man, but who cares about that? It’s the bankers who are the most interesting characters. I mean, look at this guy … Who wouldn’t want him to be his eccentric uncle? Is this the cat lady syndrome, inverted?
